Hi, I'm Heather, a counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor living and working in Belchamp Otten, near Clare and Sudbury on the Suffolk-Essex border.
​
I offer safe, confidential, face-to-face telephone and online counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples.
​
I also offer supervision for other practitioners and counsellors in training.
​
Areas of work...
I've been working as a counsellor & psychotherapist since 1998. I work with issues including stress, anxiety, depression, relationships (work, family and marital), abuse , phobias, childhood / adult traumas, pervasive unwanted thoughts and traumatic dreams.
I've specialist experience working with Cruse Bereavement Care, with Sheffield Hallam University and at South Yorkshire Eating Disorders Association.

I also have specialist interest and experience working with people with gender dysphoria.

I offer a flexible approach to my practice to accommodate the varied needs of my clients.
​
I have daytime, evening and some weekend appointments.
​
I'm happy to discuss weekly, fortnightly and, where appropriate, ad-hoc appointments in short and long term working arrangements.

Welcome to my website, I hope it reflects the compassion and strength of feeling I have for the work I do. I've been working for 20 years as a counsellor and psychotherapist and bring all of that experience into my current practice. For me, being alongside clients as they recover and refocus is a privilege and one of my most fulfilling and rewarding life experiences.
